Vintage Wardrobe Essentials Three

Week Three Already! Today, we are continuing the Vintage Wardrobe Essentials Series.
I do hope that you have enjoyed it thus far.

Can you guess what we are looking at today?
That's right, blouses :) (If you didn't guess that, I'm sure that it was your next choice ;) )

3. BLOUSES
Blouses are the perfect vintage wardrobe essential because they allow you to wear your skirts (after all, we don't want to be half naked :S ) and they can also be worn over dresses (this means that, 4 dresses + 1 blouse = 8 outfits!). This makes them a pretty cool and pretty essential wardrobe piece.

  • 2 White Blouses
  • 2-4 Short Sleeve Pastel Blouses- Once again, the number depends on your needs and you choice of colours. If pastels are not your thing, choose whatever colours or prints you love. The main aim of you vintage-inspired wardrobe is for you to be confident and beautiful. You don't want to look like everybody else, and you certainly don't want to hate what you are wearing!
  • 2-4 Long Sleeve Pastel Blouses- Because Winter and Autumn can get quite cold.
  • Depending on the shade of your clothes, you may want 2 Dark Blouses.

Here's where you need to be a bit smart. We will look at accessories another time, but keep in mind that if your blouse is on the sheer side, you will need 3-4 white singlet tops to maintain modesty.

If you haven't seen Shirley Jones and Gordon MacRae in Oklahoma, you should! :)

See you next time,
Memma xxx
